Tiny Towns is a quaint and thrilling puzzle strategy game. It is like Settlers of Catan + Tetris. You get a small 4x4 blank grid, this is your tiny town. All players take turns choosing one of the resources that every player will get, you then place that resource somewhere on your grid. By creating different formations of resources in specific layouts (like 3x glass across and 1x wood down) you can create different structures. You have to balance the building strategy with the balance of managing a tight space. This is everything you could want to know about the Tiny Towns board game.
Tiny Towns was designed by American designer Peter McPherson. This was his first title but has gained great notoriety for it.
A 2020 release of the expansion "Fortune" has been announced. The premise is that the smaller creatures of the forest have created a civilization free of predators, and they look to you as mayor to guide their growing and thriving town.
There is a fantastic solo version of the game that uses a deck to decide the resource instead of players taking turns picking.
